NTRWA Presents

    BOOK IN A YEAR

To qualify for the monthly charm, chapter members are required to write 25 standard manuscript pages from one meeting to the next. Members are not required to begin a new book, but can continue to work on a current work in progress.

Members do not need to be present at the meeting to qualify for the BIAY reward, but do need to notify the BIAY coordinator of their progress within 7 days of the meeting.  Unfortunately, we must have numbers of those who qualified by this date in order to award the charms. Members who can not attend meetings may send an SASE to receive their

charms.

Current or new chapter members may join the BIAY program at any time and have a full year to complete it, earning the charms in the order designated.

Beginning in April 2007, the bracelet will be the first reward followed by the charms as follows:

  •           April: Bracelet

  •           May: Heart

  •           June: N

  •           July: Cowboy hat

  •           August: T

  •           September: Book

  •           October: R

  •           November: Cowboy boots

  •           December: W

  •           January: Rose

  •           February: A

  •           March: Special NT Charm

PLEASE NOTE: Recognizing that books are different lengths and may not require a full year to complete, members who finish their manuscripts may take two months for editing and earn their charms. The book must be finished during the BIAY program to qualify. To continue to earn charms, members must begin work on another manuscript.

The BIAY pages may also be applied to the chapter's end of the year writing and editing awards. But pleases remember that you must be present at meetings to apply your pages to these awards.
