Dear Chapter Mates,

Happy New Year. I hope the new year finds you well, enjoying all your fabulous Christmas gifts. It's four days before Christmas as I write this...

The end of 2007 was an exciting one for members announcing book contracts, primarily with The Wild Rose Press. And we have so many great writers; I know that 2008 will be an even better year in terms of first sales.

We have a great board this year, and I'm looking forward to wonderful things happening. Our Bylaws and Policy & Procedure Manual will both be updated to reflect RWA National standards and our own current procedures.

Gina Nelson, our 2008 VP/Program Director, with her wonderful enthusiasm, is going to be bringing us some really wonderful programs this year. I know this is January, and Writers Roundup is November, but that event takes quite a bit of planning, so please be thinking about what kind of program you'd like us to do this year, and bring your ideas to the January meeting, or contact Gina at vicepresident@ntrwa.org

Many, many thanks to Alley Hauldren for stepping up to be Newsletter Editor.

Many people like to make resolutions at the beginning of each year, although I'm not one of them. However, I want this chapter to be the best it can be. So as we begin the year. I want everyone to take a few moments to think about ways to make our chapter better - for you. If there's a particular subject you'd like to hear or program we can set in motion to help and encourage you in your writing endeavors, please let a board member know.

I hope to see you in at the meetings.  And I wish each and every one of you a truly blessed 2008.
