Yellow Rose Award Winners
The Yellow Rose Award is the highest honor bestowed by the chapter. This winner was nominated because he or she went above and beyond the call of duty that year. Each winner receives a lovely rosebud pin, a $25 gift card, and a certificate.
Marty Tidwell, 2008 Yellow Rose Award Recipient
In 2008, Marty served as the chapter's Web Site Director and contest coordinator. In addition to this, Marty took on the Decoration Committee for the 25th anniversary celebration in March of 2008. Her decorations and goodies made the event just that much more special.
From the nomination e-mail: "I'd like to nominate Marty Tidwell for the Yellow Rose. In addition to being a wonderful person and so very supportive of her fellow writers, Marty went above and beyond the call of duty for the 25th Anniversary celebration, making the whole event incredibly festive. (All those crafts and decorations? Not part of her job description!)"
